Recruitment

Responsibilities/Expectations:
• Primary responsibility is to identify and develop excess return generating quantitative investment strategies using deep learning and machine learning.
• Produce high quality research independently, as well as with other researchers, traders and software engineers.
• Design and develop analysis and monitoring tools to achieve best practices in all aspects of the investment process (research,portfolio management, trading, and attribution).
• Automate human-decision based trading strategies, prototype algorithmic trades from trading ideas and put investment strategies into production, with a focus on high-quality execution and transparency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Ph.D. in a technical field such as, engineering, physics, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science or other quantitative discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality empirical research, relevant experience working with large datasets, quantitative model development and statistical hypothesis testing.
• Excellent quantitative skills, as evidenced by formal training in econometrics or statistics, and extensive experience in utilizing those skills in a research environment.
• Passion for identifying and leveraging large datasets to develop new insights about financial markets.
• Strong understanding of computer technology in financial research, with proficiency in programming (Python/R/Matlab), statistical analysis, and numerical techniques.
• Creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
• Excellent teamwork - work cooperatively and effectively in a small team with other researchers and portfolio managers in a fast-paced environment.
